Meet our Team

Tanya Anderson, LCSW-C

TANYA ANDERSON, LCSW-C

Practice Owner / Therapist / Board Approved Supervisor

Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) with a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Maryland School of Social Work and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland. I have extensive experience providing clinical services across a variety of settings, including schools, outpatient mental health agencies, private practice, and child welfare systems. Most recently, I have provided comprehensive school-based mental health services to students within Prince George’s County Public Schools.

My clinical approach is holistic and person-centered, emphasizing the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit. I am certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and utilize trauma-informed practices to ensure a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment. I am committed to empowering clients to actively engage in their healing process while fostering self-awareness, resilience, and emotional well-being. My work often integrates mindfulness-based and relaxation techniques to support emotional regulation, increase present-moment awareness, and strengthen the mind-body connection.

What you can expect from our first session

I approach therapy with authenticity and humility, recognizing the importance of the therapeutic relationship as the foundation for meaningful change. During our initial session, we will begin building rapport and exploring your concerns, goals, and personal experiences. My approach is collaborative and strengths-based, focusing on identifying your existing strengths while supporting you in navigating challenges. Together, we will work toward developing insight, enhancing coping skills, and promoting overall emotional well-being.
